The following youth activities are available at GFC

 

 


AWANA

AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed".  This weekly Christian club ministry presents the Gospel to children through a Bible-based curriculum.  Each club night is broken into three different sessions:  Handbook time, Game time, and Council time.

Handbook time encourges children to excel individually in their Bible verse studies.
Game time is a period of fun and fellowship through a variety of games on the AWANA circle
Council time provides a Christian message that is intended to present the Gospel as well as Christian morals and values to children.

The following is a list of the clubs that are available at GFC  AWANA:

Cubbies                    3 and 4 year olds

Sparks                      Kindergarten through 2nd grade

Truth and Training        3rd and 4th grade girls
                                   3rd and 4th grade boys
                                   5th and 6th grade girls
                                   5th and 6th grade boys

AWANA is held each Wednesday evening September through mid-May at 6:25 pm in the Community Center across from the church property.


Children's Church and Child Care

Child care is available during the morning worship service for nursery through kindergarten age.  Children from first-sixth grade are dismissed from the morning worship service, usually after worship through singing is finished and then have there own lessons for the remainder of the worship time.


Vacation Bible School

2nd week of July

 


 

Jr. Sr. High Youth

Volleyball practice on Sundays from 2:00-4:30 pm until youth volley tourmnent.

Summer Camps

Summer camps are available to children and youth from 4th grade through high school.  Camps are held each summer in McCall, Idaho at Quaker Hill Camp and Conference Center.  Scholarship opportunities are available with information obtain through the Christian Education Committee.  2014 camp dates are as follows: 

 Kids Camp (going into graders 4 - 6 in fall of 2017):  June 24-28  (Cost $245--$215 if registered by June 1)

Junior High Camp ( going into grades 7-9 in fall of 2017) June 28-July 3  (Cost $270--$240 if registered by June 1)

Senior High Camp (going into 10th through 2017 high school graduates): June 28-July 3 (Cost $295--$265 if registered by June 1)

Bible Quizzing

Bible quizzing is a youth activity sponsored by Northwest Yearly Meeting.  The following is the upcoming schedule

Quiz practice begins Sunday August 21st at 4:30  in the afternoon.  This is for the Youth grades 6th-12th.
